I am a “late starter” to photography who has been in full time employment since I was 19. I have worked as a medical scientist and accountant and am still employed as a medical scientist.
I purchased my first camera in the late seventies but did not take up serious photography until about 2005. I love to be creative in my photography and try to frame photos from a unique point of view, even to the point of abstraction. I like the work of Australian artist Jeffrey Smart and would like to re-create some of his work in photography. I aim to produce my shots in camera and use basic Lightroom tools to improve exposure etc.
My main interests are landscapes, abstracts, B&W and I love using film whenever I can.
I am currently studying for an Advanced Diploma in Photography at Photography Studies College in Melbourne.
